Polkas for Charity - Let's Get This Party Started! |
Press Release - 04/16/07 Polkas For Charity would like to announce its first CD project – Let’s Get This Party Started! The CD contains 13 songs recorded during the first part of 2007 featuring the following musicians and vocalists: Chris Borkowski, Ted Borzymowski, Wally Dombrowski, Gennarose, Lenny Gomulka, Greg Guzevich, Hank Guzevich, Chris Huntington, Johnny Karas, Frank Liszka, Bob McBride, Ryan Ogrodny, Rick Olaguer and Mark Trzepacz. The CD has a diverse mix of polka music styles featuring 5 original songs by Ted Borzymowski and Slovenian, Zydeco, Country and Traditional cuts. Polkas For Charity was formed by Ted Borzymowski to bring musicians together to record Polka music and through these recordings raise money for a specific charity. All the proceeds from Let’s Get This Party Started! will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital located in Memphis, TN. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a pediatric treatment and research facility and has completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. All patients accepted for treatment at St Jude are treated without regard to the family’s ability to pay. Danny Thomas had a dream that “No child should die in the dawn of life”.
